Education degree: University degree in Finance/Accounting or a relevant field
Work experience: Minimum 2-year experience in a similar position. Relevant finance & accounting experience with INGOs will be highly appreciated
Knowledge & skills: Accounting procedures in INGOs, vouchers and invoice issuing, reporting procedures, Logistic procedures, very strong awareness on donor’s general and financial guidelines (MoPH, ECHO, EuropeAid, UN Agencies…)
Computer skills. Excellent in Excel
Other:

Knowledge of humanitarian actors
Good management and pedagogical skills
Excellent communication and diplomacy skills

In direct cooperation with (not exhaustive): Logistic and Finance Department                    



 



General objective



 



Under the supervison and direction of the Head of mission, the Internal auditor is in charge of reducing the risks linked to the non-compliance with the donors guidelines during the audits, by implementing an internal audit system, ensuring sensitization and training. He/She will be responsible to prepare and ensure the fields audits



 



Responsibilities and tasks



 



Implement an internal audit system to check financial and logistic files



 



Prepare and ensure a monthly control of the accounting and logistic files to ensure the eligibility of them

Ensure that all supporting documents (PR-PO-authorization of payments…etc.) are attached to the receipt and invoices.

Check the quality of the invoices regarding internal guidelines

Prepare and ensure specific checks before the final reports to the donors

Conduct internal audit visits for the field bases

To perform, after each audit visit, a field visit to assure that previously identified recommendations were taken into consideration



 



Analyze achieved results to improve the quality of the archiving



 



Prepare, send a monthly control report to the department involved with advices for best practices

Send audit report after each auditing visit concerning including recommendations and appropriate measures to be set in place.

Prepare and send the specifics control reports to the department involved

Realize monthly a global assessment, share and follow-up the global recommendations

Propose to Head of Mission, Finance Coordinator and Logistic Coordinator appropriates measures to set in place



 



Ensure the awareness of the involved departments



 



Implement training and sensitization to logistic and finance departments, based on the internal assessments done and lack identified

Remind and explain to the operational teams the internal rules



 



External audit



 



Lead the preparation of  the audits in Kabul and on the field, in link with finance and logistic department

Prepare all the documentation required by the auditors

Welcome the auditors, be the focal point during the audit between the auditors and the finance and logistic departments

Reply to all the answers from the auditors
