Afghan women service & education organization

AWSE is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization established in 2003 by a team of competent and committed peoples led by Ms. Gulsoom Satarzai. The organization was established to help the needy Afghan people. The main focus of the organization scope of services was on women empowerment and gender mainstreaming. The organization strives to assist and support the Afghan communities and citizen through a process of need assessment and provision of appropriate services through proper programming and planning.
After establishment, the organization has broadened the scope and quantity of services and embarked on provision of services in the following sectors:
• Income Generation and Vocational Training
• Education,  awareness raising(Election awareness, Women Rights, Child Rights, Peace Building, Women Empowerment)
• Accountability and Transparency 
• Gender and Advocacy
• Livelihood
Currently the organization has its head office in Kabul and has implemented projects in 34 provinces of the country viz Parwan, Bamyan, Herat, Ghazni, Paktia, Khost, Farah, Takhar, Kunduz, Balkh, Logar, panjsher, Nengarhar, Laghman, Nooristan, Badakhshan, Paktika, Zabul, Wardak, Kapisa, Baghlan, Jawzjan, Ghor, Daikundi, Kandahar, Sheberghan, Nimroz, Helmand, Badghis, Faryab, Kunar, Sarepol,Samangan and Kabul provinces.
