CORDAID is an international non-governmental organization for relief and development aid. CORDAID motto is Care. Act. Share. Like Cordaid. Showing the philosophy of the organization. Identify needs, respond to those needs, and work with local partners to improve the living conditions of people in need. CORDAID, in its current form was established in 1996, but has 100 years of history and experience in fighting poverty. In total CORDAID works with nearly 700 partners worldwide, supporting them and strengthening them in order to create conditions for sustainable development.
CORDAID works is Afghanistan since 2002 with programs in Women Leadership, Security and justice, Health, Emergency Response, and Food Security (FS) with in total (for all programs) approximately 25 partners. The funds for the FS program will have been exhausted by December 2015. To continue with the program we need to look for external funding in collaboration with our partners. This is one of the reasons that we want to evaluate the current programs, to summarize the lessons learned, and to analyze the added value of a Food Security program of CORDAID in Afghanistan.
