Summary: Counterpart International is seeking for the Community Liaison Officer for its 5-year, USAID funded, Afghan Civic Engagement Program (ACEP). The ACEP goal is to promote civil society and media engagement that enables Afghan citizens to influence policy, monitor government accountability, and serve as an advocate for political reform. This is a full time position based in Kabul, Afghanistan. With direction from the Chief of Party (COP) and Project Security Managers, the Community Liaison Officer will be required to maintain professional relationships with National Organizations, and Agencies including Afghan Government Departments and Security Forces, local authorities and neighborhood entities, local CSO organizations. Provide timely reports on a day to day basis to keep the organization informed of all security related developments that may have indirect or direct safety and security impact on ACEP staff and operations. The position will require frequent travel to the provinces throughout the country where the program is operational. He/she will process security clearances for regional/provincial travel/movement, coordinate and track local staff/vehicle movement, and assist in planning and preparation of provincial missions, in the form of liaison with proposed venues, local CSO organizations and base accommodation proprietors for the duration of mission.
