HEWAD is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable charity organization established in 1994 to provide Medical, Educational, Social and Humanitarian Assistance to needy people of Afghanistan.
HEWAD implements primary health care to needy people of Afghanistan, and within those focuses on provision of health care to the most vulnerable group, children and women.
HEWAD provides perfect health education, information, and service to Afghans in order to improve their living condition
Also special emphasis be on the Health, capacity building, the community development and the alleviation of poverty

Project Overview:
HEWAD is partnering with United Nation Population Fund of Afghanistan (UNFPA) to Provide Technical Assistance to MoWA, AIHRC and MOPH.
Under the overall supervision of UNFPA Representative and direct supervision of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights commission AIHRC and the UNFPA GBV sub-cluster Coordinator, the GBV sub-cluster Technical Adviser will provide strategic advice and day to day guidance in the planning, management, coordination, monitoring and assessment of AIHRC GBV related coordination work in the country.  She/he will also support strengthening the existing systems and procedures for multi-sectoral and intergovernmental GBV coordination work at national and provincial levels. The GBVsc Technical Adviser will work closely with relevant government ministries, departments and agencies as well as civil society organizations and other cluster coordination structures to ensure mainstreaming of GBV issues and efforts in policy agenda, programs and budgets.  The Technical Adviser will also support the AIHRC GBV focal points at regional or provincial levels to improve their capacities in GBV related work.
The GBVsc Technical Adviser will also work closely with the Ministry of Women Affair, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Public Health counterparts planning, coordination implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the GBV prevention and response activities.
