Who we are
Intercommunity and Justice Organization (IJO) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and independent organization which is established in Kabul and registered in the Ministry of Economy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2015. Its registration number is 3633.
IJO is working in the field of Human rights, Youth capacity building, and women empowerment.
Taking into consideration the challenging environment, numerous obstacles in the social development, saving youth and women in Afghanistan; IJO Board of Management took this initiative to establish the Civil Society Organization which aims to take part in the development of civilization of Afghanistan and provides safe environment for Afghan women and youth.
Women are severely victimized during the long civil war and social traditional structure like they have been (Misplaced, Deprived of school, Marginalized in Social Rights & Political Participation and severely were violated). So, IJO concentrate on Women Empowerment so as to provide better opportunity and situation that women can get their rights as (political participation, Access to Justice and Civil Rights). Thus, they can get civil rights equalities.
On the other hand, youth are also the victim of this long aged war society. In long civil war, Social life structure is ruined and education process is hindered. In order to bring Social Changes in the society to have peaceful life and diversity tolerance, we need youth capacity building and new methods of leadership for them.
Therefore, IJO concentrates on women & Youth empowerment and Leadership, in order to make leaders of changes in Afghanistan.
All these changes happened through close coordination and assistance of our national and international partners and Afghanistan Government.
The main objective of the IJO is grouping youth in order to advocate human rights voluntarily. As well as consulting and delivering solutions for decreasing (poverty in the society, violence against women) and supporting to promote civil societies in the Afghanistan.
