North and North East Agriculture Development Support Project (NEASP) is a development program of the government of Afghanistan funded by AFD (AgenceFrançaise de Development) which has been approved on 15 December 2009.
The project has a budget of € 5.2 millions and duration of four years (2011- 2014). The project aims to promote the development of agriculture in the north and north eastern regions of Afghanistan (Baghlan, Balkh, and Kunduz Provinces), particularly cotton/cereals crop rotations, thereby contributing to food security in the region and reducing the area of land used for poppy cultivation.
