USAID Promote: Women in Government

BACKGROUND: The purpose of the USAID Promote: Women in Government Project is to increase and advance the number of women in the Afghan Civil Service, thereby promoting a more inclusive government that is responsive to the needs of the entire Afghan population, thus fostering a more democratic and stable state. The will establish an internship program for educated young women to gain entry into the Afghan Civil Service, and will make the operating environment safer for young women to work by tackling sexual harassment, policy gaps, and work environment issues for female employees.

JOB SUMMARY: The Training Coordinator will develop the training activities of the USAID Promote: Women in Government Internship Program coordination with AIRD. The successful candidate will formulate and manage the training program on the basis of the AIRD and Chemonics institutional vision and mission, taking into consideration all technical and logistical aspects in the context resources and interests of all stakeholders. The Training Coordinator is expected to design long term and annual training programs and implementation of training processes of the Internship Program and AIRD. The candidate is responsible for carrying out a need assessments, identification and prioritization of training topics, design, develop, organize and manage all training activities based on the objectives of the Internship Program.  The successful candidate will manage the AIRD and Chemonics training resources and publications and liaise with similar national and international training institutions.
