  • Holding high school certificate is preferred
  • Atleast two years of proven work experience as a searcher / security guard or relevant position
  • Familirity with local languages (Dari & Pashtoo), understanding English language is an asset
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the position include:



  • Search all local female staff and visitors including bags in accordance with local customs and in a professional, consistent, unbiased, friendly and conscientious manner

  • Accompany female visitors to reception or to the designated waiting area

  • Assign visitor’s card to all non-staff visitors and report any loss immediately

  • Maintaining registration of visitors at FHI 360 premise

  • Prevent visitors from straying into prohibited areas within the premises.

  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards

  • Protecting Project’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and report disturbances

  • Report in detail any suspicious incidents

  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.

  • Check facilities within the premises to make sure that they are secure, as well as make sure that windows, doors, and gates are properly locked after work hours.

  • Assist the guard force with any female security related issues

  • Coordinate with Security Manager on any security issues that arise

  • Perform any other duties/tasks assigned by supervisor
