5-8 years’ works experience in infrastructures engineering projects both Design & implementation in Afghanistan.
Minimum 1 year experience using of Auto-Card 2-D, is essential and 3-D is preferred
Knowledge of QA/QC three phase control system.
Must be flexible and willing to work under difficult work and living conditions
Knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings and bill of quantities.
Good skills in computer, skills to operate Auto-Card program

Duties & Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of the Infrastructure Manager, the incumbent of the position will be responsible for designing, documentation, reporting, and managing the infrastructure activities in the districts and shall supervise the projects and ensure that the work is implemented to achieve the KFZ goals and objectives and in compliance with the applicable USAID and IRD policies and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Conduct Periodic field trips to visit project site across IRD-KFZ target districts in Kandahar province to ensure ongoing works are in accordance to BoQ, technical specifications and drawings.
Control project work schedule and quality of materials and workmanship of infrastructure projects.
Work closely with the project team, contractor and other stakeholders to ensure timely and quality performance.
Ensure that the relevant community strengthening officers, grants officers and other field staff are familiar with the projects scope of works.
Supervise the development of the environmental screening checklist and the implementation of recommendations for each infrastructure projects
Identify the problems, and short comes and recommend the proper solutions and alternatives to Infrastructure Department.
Report to the IRD-KFZ Management team any delays in timelines, quality flaws, substandard safety practice in the form of technical reports: Daily QC report, NCR and CR.
Maintain proper flow of information, both: horizontal and vertical layers of management.
Communicate with other associates from other KFZ components to ensure program interaction.
Maintain QC/QA related files and ensure appropriate filing system.
Review and modify the designs of infrastructure projects (as necessary, after COP approval).
Providing technical oversight and support to field-based construction activities.
Check and verify all progress, RFI, CR and final reports provided by sub-contractor/s.
Other tasks as per operational need of Infrastructure Department.
