The successful candidate should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences
3 - 5 years of working experience in the relevant sector Good reporting writing skills, proposal development, communication and interpersonal skills; Proficient experience with Microsoft Office. Literate in English, Dari and Pashto; strong interpersonal skills required organizational skills; proactive/Creative;
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with War Child Canada program departments, communications and outreach department to collect information, synthesize the information and prepare reports at least twice a month.
As assigned by Head of Program Development, Reporting and Quality, visit partners’ offices to collect the required information, synthesize and prepare reports at least once a month.
Take lead on preparing quarterly and annual donors reports and submit to Head of Program Development, Reporting and Quality for a final review.
In partnership with the MEAL department, review all DIPs and keep a track on how the project is progressing by communicating with program and partner colleagues and reporting to Head of Program Development, Reporting and Quality.
Attend all program meetings, take a proactive role in discussions and prepare minutes of the meetings and submit to Head of Program Development, Reporting and Quality and other concerned departments.
Arrange logistics with operations department to facilitate all trainings led by Head of Program Development, Reporting and Quality, M&E department and Communications & outreach department.
Build the capacity of War Child Canada and partner staff in the areas of 1) report writing; 2) effective communication skills and 3) Record keeping and compiling of information related to programs.
Keep eyes on in-country funding opportunities (that might become available from UN agencies, EU-delegation and other institutional donors) and inform Head of Program Development, Reporting and Quality and the Country Director.
Take lead on developing new proposals and assist Head of Program Development, Reporting and Quality in developing them. Provide data and other needed information as required for proposal/new funding opportunity development. Report any identified new funding opportunities.
Represent War Child Canada in relevant cluster meetings when required.
Support the Communication and Outreach Coordinator with development of visibility material and Internal Newsletter
