- Fluent communication in Dari and Pashto languages, as well as English language for the report writing.
- At least 5 years training facilitation experience.
- At least 3 years working experience with child protection or humanitarian mandated organizations.
- Being the member of Child Protection in Emergency (CPiE) sub-cluster is preferable.
- Be able to travel to the capital of the mentioned province for about one week in each. All the travel facilities will be provided by the organization.

The duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to their level of skills and experience.
In the event of a significant humanitarian emergency, the post-holder will be expected to work outside their normal job description; vary their working hours; and occasionally work from a different location should the need arise.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

 - Co-Facilitate the contextualization workshop of the selected 12 standards by the Child Protection in Emergency (CPiE) sub-cluster at the national level using the Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS) the ‘CPMS Contextualization How to Guide’ attached the hyperlink in this ToR considering the below steps.

 - Orient the group leaders, as they selected according to their expertise on each standard, on their roles and leading the group discussion on the Standards during the workshop.

 - Support the regional level CPMS contextualization and roll-out process, travel to regions (Balkh, Nangarhar, Herat and Kandahar), Note: in Herat, it will be coordinated with War Child UK and UNICEF for coordination, space and security clearance.

 - Observe the group discussions in the workshop which will be facilitated by the group leaders, and allocated a specific time for this process and facilitate improvement process

 - Incorporate inputs from sub-national levels roll-out workshops into the drafted contextualized Standards which can be shared with sub-national groups for comment after the contextualized standards.

 - Improved coordination with all actors involved in the process and promoting SCI brand

 Note: The Facilitator will work closely with country focal point on this workshop agenda and agreed on the steps and methodologies.


 According to the action plan developed by UNICEF and SCI, the CPMS Training Co-Facilitator:

 1. In consultation with UNICEF, coordinate the expected deliverables with Group Leaders and share the list of main activities, agenda’s and sessions. 

 2. In consultation with UNICEF and government, coordinate this list of CPMS workshop participants. 

 3. Take active part in reviewing the Pashto and Dari translated standards in close collaboration with UNICEF 

 4. Consolidate all the feedbacks and inputs related to the contextualized 12 standards, provided by the national and regional level Group Leaders according to the work plan.

 5. Produce the training and entire process report focusing on the content, process, learning and recommendations 

 6. A draft document with contextualized standards in consultation with UNICEF. 

 7. Documentation of good practices and failures from the overall process facilitation which will help in monitoring the mechanism further in the narrative report.
