Bachelor Degree in Agriculture with 4 years relevant experience or Diploma with 4 years relevant to agriculture and livestock



Good communication and report writing skills in English and Dari.

Strong Communication problem solving team work leadership  and management skills

good organizational planning and coordination skills

Ability and willingness to travel through-out AKF program areas and good  analytical and problem-solving skills

Attention to details  & Technical Skills understanding Afghanistan constitution

have initiative in Agriculture

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary:



Area coordinator AFS is responsible for overall management of AFS sector at the area level: YPO Implementation data management & reporting team management and implementation quality control.



Main Duties and Responsibilities:



Provide technical support to district officer and assistants to implement AFS activities in the field.



Manage the YPO implementation with allocated budget target and scope.



Monitor field activities to ensure quality of implementation and technical approaches.



Ensure that programme data is collected by district officer and assistants compiled and reported to district manager technical coordinators and sector M&E offices.



Integrate AFS activities with other AKF (Afg) sectors at area level.



On time reporting of the performance and achievements to related units and carrying out all related admin works



Represent AFS in internal and external meetings at the district levels.



Reflect AFS results through preparing case studies and technical assessments



Lead the surveys and studies assigned by sector coordinators/manager in the regions as required by sector.

Support private sector service providers: District Livestock Development Centres (LDCs) Livestock Development Field Units (LDFUs) crop based service providers to provide quality agricultural and livestock services to farmers.

Sample collection for clinical diagnosis of animal disasters and morbidity

Regularly field visits and activities to make sure the projects are implemented according to plan.

Perform any other job related duty assigned by the supervisor and technical coordinators.



Respect all AKF policies rules and regulations and practice accordingly



Occasional Significant Duties:



Participate in capacity building events to be organized by AKF.

In coordination with ERLU maintain up-to-date documentations surveys and questionnaires according to different projects requirements; as well as to build capacities and develop systems to use monitoring data in a meaning way for programming decisions.



Decision-Making & Authorities:



Make technical decision and prioritizing tasks

Responsible for delegation of AFS - Livestock related tasks at the area level.
