The water infrastructure Survey Engineer shall have at least 2 years vocational educational / bachelor’s degree on Surveying and Geodesy Engineering.
Having 2 years’ experience in the field of Surveying of water infrastructure projects.
The knowledge of using surveying instruments (Total station level machine DGPS… ) is mandatory
Having knowledge using of computer and its relevant Surveying and drafting software’s Auto CAD GIS Civil 3D and other MS software’s.
Knowledge of English and computer literacy are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
Scope of Work:
The support for the conducting the surveying and drawings of different type of Hydraulic structures such as check dam intake diversion aqueduct culvert bridge water dividers and other related water infrastructure projects for ongoing and under plan project of National Water Affairs Regulation Authority (NWARA). For this purpose NWARA is going to hire the qualified National water infrastructure Surveying Engineer in order to support the survey section of NWARA. The scope of work of National Surveying Engineer will as per bellow but not limited to these items:
Perform survey and leveling with data collection (maps benchmark levels etc.) required for design of water infrastructure projects.
Having practical familiarity with the basic surveying practices likewise chain surveying compass surveying traversing plane table surveying leveling and contouring book keeping etc.
Conducting survey using theodolite total-station GPS D-GPS level and other standard equipment’s for Irrigation works contracts and plotting the collected data
Conducting trigonometric survey to establish the Bench Mark at safe commanding locations and data analysis as per requirements
Conduct joint survey with the contractor community for proper handing over of the site to the contractor at the start
Checking structure layout set out by the contractors site levels angles etc before during and after the construction activities to confirm the contractors Interim/final Payment certificates and completion of construction as per designed drawing levels and dimensions.
Conducting setting out works on the site as per the design drawings
Setting out curves at site all as per design drawing.
Conducting and preparing Longitudinal Section and cross section of each canal under the project with reference to the established bench marks or establish additional bench marks as per requirements.
Conducting and prepare topographical maps of the irrigation sites and irrigation fields as per requirements for design purpose.
Perform any other duties as required by relevant department.
The successful candidate will work under direct supervision of the Survey and Design of Water Establishments Directorate and will be responsible and provide report to the Head of Survey Department.
