University level education in Business Administration Business Development or other relevant field (Master degree or Bachelors with the relevant experience).
A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar position in a national or international NGO.
Excellent understanding of the local context and of the needs and challenges of the local communities.
Previous experience at providing training for programme participants.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in microfinancing.
Knowledge and experience in data analysis.
Excellent communication skills fluent in Dari (both written and spoken) as well as in English (both written and spoken).
Capable and willing to work in the field (please note this is not an office-based post with 70% of the time spent in the field).
Computer literate and proficient in MS Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop training materials on relevant business administration topics (marketing business finance product presentation business planning etc.)
Prepare training and lesson plans that meet the needs of the selected beneficiaries (taking into consideration gender and their time availability) adapted to the training environment of protracted IDP settlements of PD13 and conducive for a venue within the community with very basic facilities.
Conduct training sessions with the materials developed for the target group (young people and women) at field level.
Adapt the training accordingly to meet the different knowledge level of the participants being prepared to provide extra and more in-depth trainings for those in need of a higher level of support.
Actively engage in selection of the participants of the training programme.
Together with the project manager prepare a training and activity plan to implement the business administration component of the project.
Support programme participants in preparing business plans.
Conduct a feasibility study on revolving funds in Kabul province to gather information on lessons learned procedures and processes best practices and legal and financial documentation requisites.
Guide young entrepreneurs receiving loans on how to correctly invest the funds and plan and implement their business plans.
Monitor and supervise the correct investment of the revolving fund to ensure that businesses are running correctly and losses are prevented.
Preparing progress reports on a monthly basis.
Provide the project manager with the necessary information and feedback to compile interim and other reports as requested by the donor.
Actively involved in developing tools to conduct the baseline and end-line project surveys.
Revise training materials as and when needed in consultation with the project manager.
