4+years of technical expertise & experience in related field

Excellent computer skills

Fluency in written and verbal English is required

Experience of working with USAID funded projects

Duties & Responsibilities

The Training Officer will report to the Capacity Building and Gender Manager in Kandahar. The Training Officer will provide administrative and operations support to the Kandahar Capacity Building and Gender team in designing, implementation, and controlling of capacity building activities and in the performance of related administrative and operations duties.



The Training Officer will undertake a wide range of administrative, operations and programmatic tasks, including but not limited to those stipulated below:



Technical:



Control subcontractors capacity building action plans and detailed scheduling and content of training programs



Contribute to develop curricula and contents of capacity building training materials



Facilitate training, events, workshops and conferences implemented by subcontractors to assure training effectiveness



Ability to take initiative and pursue work proactively with little supervision.



Organize, develop and administrate pre and post – test for training programs.



Coach and mentor the training facilitators of the subcontractors as well as KFZ staff as needed.



Control training agendas, training sessions plans, manuals, photos, videos and materials submitted by the subcontractors based on their contracts



Coordinate administrative and logistical support for all training activities performed directly by KFZ.



Develop and maintain an electronic and hard-copy filling system of technical capacity building of training agendas, training sessions, plans, manuals, photos, videos and materials submitted by the subcontractors based on their contracts, as well of those directly implemented by KFZ.  



Review the sub –contract documents to ensure that all required documents are provided.



Participate in the design of ODKs as needed.



Enter the data of surveyed results and provide data base inputs to M&E and analysis to the CBG Manager for the reporting process



Assists Kabul CBG Team in coordination, administration, finance, procurement,grants and operations activities.



Travel to training venues as needed to assist CBG Manager in coordination and implementation of capacity building activities.



Conduct Program orientation for newly hired staff.



Facilitate and Coordinate the orientation for sub – contractor to ensure that all activities are in compliance with KFZ, IRD and USAID regulations and guidance.



Perform other duties as required by supervisor.



Planning and Control:



Visit the field to ensure that all training activities are according to the plan and in compliance with KFZ, IRD and USAID rules and regulations and write monitoring reports



Visit training events for Q/A  and Q/C



Conduct training evaluations



Provide accurate information to M&E on training activities to be uploaded in the Shamal System.



Control the status of data recorded in Shamal and report incongruences to his/her supervisor 



Verify the training beneficiaries selected by KFZ receiving capacity building program through subcontractors and make quality control of the processes.



Serve as interpreter as needed.



Ensure timely translation of capacity building and technical documents (English-to- Pashto and Pashto-to-English) and coordinate translations efforts with Capacity Building and Gender Directorate to process it in Kabul by the Translation unit



Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports in a timely manner and with due care to quality, accuracy, relevance, and completeness.
