University degree (Bachelor degree or equivalent degree) in relevant field. 

4 years of professional experience at the national level.

Excellent writing skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adapt message to culturally diverse audiences. Knowledge of the organization’s mandate and its program of activities. Good analytical skills. Good knowledge of computer applications. Ability to work on own initiative as well as a member of a team.

Fluent in Dari Pashto and English

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Develop detailed implementation plans for training courses seminars workshops and meetings to include but not be limited to scheduling preparing materials coordinating participants and overseeing logistics for technical presenters;

  • Support efforts to identify field implementation colleagues and support the solicitation of their support for implementation of project training activities;

  • Participate in and document regular communication and meetings with Project partners.

  • Support and co-ordinate training budget information as requested related to the monitoring and control of the project budget for the regional segment and the preparation of budget revisions when required;

  • Participate as requested in the preparation especially in English of documentation and analyze and collate papers and reports prepared by consultants or project parties including background materials documentation on training courses and meetings data for evaluation briefing notes working papers etc. of the project activities in the Program covered regions;

  • Act as the lead resource person and /or moderator in workshops seminars training courses and meetings;

  • Within the competency support and assist as required all other Organization national and Regional projects in their part related to trainings and material’s development.

  • Monitor the implementation of training grants;

  • Liaison with Government office.

  • To supervise and ensure effective linkage and communication with the Project stakeholders.

  • To represent and advocate for the Program in all coordination forums.

  • To provide regular Project reports and to assist Program reporting officers in preparing the reports.

  • To conduct regular field visits.

  • Prepare materials development and training work-plans to ensure that the tasks of developing materials and training programs are carried out in a timely manner.

  • Manage Program training curriculum and materials development activities according to the concept and approach of Program for all phases of program delivery.

  • Oversee day-to-day management of the materials development and training of the unit.

  • Work with the monitoring team to ensure that materials development and training programs are built into the overall monitoring and reporting system.

  • Creation of a feedback mechanism into better development of the materials.

  • Ensure sound and effective coordination of materials development and training staff.

  • Train the training staff on the teaching/learning approach methods and materials used in Program.

  • Prepare reporting formats for materials development and training activities and other reports as required.

  • Ensure reporting related to materials development and training is readily available as and when required. 

  • Provide materials development and training data inputs for reporting purposes (monthly quarterly and annual). 

  • Transferring the experience and lessons learnt from the different components into the future vision of the Program.

  • Coordinating the training components of the programs.

  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with training partners.

  • Leading the production and distribution of training materials to an increased number of beneficiaries within the programs as well as outside agencies.

  • Serve as Organization core-trainer/Master Trainer where needed

  • Carry out M&E missions with the purpose of controlling quality of Organization training workshops.

  • Coordinate the provision of core-training staff and training materials.

  • Supervise performance of Organization provincial trainers

  • Carry out quality controls of new translations of training materials

  • Ensure that all staff in training section constantly update training materials data base/training record.

  • Remain in contact with IT & MIS personnel to ensure smooth functioning of training materials data base

  • Monitor timely reproduction and distribution of training materials for provinces and districts/Nahias as well as other programs within and outside of Organization.

  • Meet regularly with Program training staff to discuss weekly work plans time schedules etc.

  • Report to the project manager about completion status of assignments.

  • Closely follow up and provision of all means of training verification for each Contracted CDCs in terms of training and linkages issues and to provide the approved documents to Program for requisition’s of Organization operation cost.

  • Maintain a checklist of “To Do” things.

  • Any other relevant duty assigned by Program Manager.
