The Communicable Disease Officer must have the qualification of MD diploma holder and with experiences of Communicable Disease
Demonstrate competency in CDC and capacity building in line with BPHS guideline
Must have a good understanding of policies in Afghanistan
Good computer and internet skills
Good communication in English and fluency Dari and/or Pashto both written and spoken
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience of planning reporting and budgeting
Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites
Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct training for relevant BPHS staff;
Develop training guidelines and procedures;
Prepare and implement a plan for training of BPHS staff;
Coordinate and arrange trainings for staff with PPHD and other stakeholders at the provincial level;
Prepare training plan with each HF as necessary;
Arrange workshops according to the planned BPHS trainings proposed and agreed in the project proposal
Work closely with the Field and Health Technical Officer in identifying HF needs weaknesses and training requirements;
Provide on the job training for HF staff.
Performs supervisory visit from Health Facilities at least 10-15th times/month.
Collect analyse and interprets the CDC data/information regularly basis.
Assist the Health Facilities on preparing of monthly / quarterly work plan and reports and acts as a focal point/responsible for CDC issues in the provincial level.
To ensure that all HF’s Labs properly staffed equipped and supplied with the necessary lab materials timely and according to the PBHS/ Lab standards.
Prepare and provide the regular Lab and medical supply requests on time to the main office for timely supply and furnish of HFs’ Lab rooms.
Ensure that the all test process of lab samples is conducting with respect of lab norms.
Provide weekly monthly and quarterly report of project activities to Deputy Technical Project Manager.
Any other duties assigned by respective line manager
