Willingness to learn other cuisines
Preferably high school graduate
Must have good communication skills (oral & written) in English, Dari and Pashto-.
Able to work overtime on weekends or holidays if required
At least 1-3 years cooking with international NGOs, or restaurant work experience
Must be honest, well mannered, neat in appearance and healthy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepares lunch and dinner in accordance to planned menu.
Must be able to prepare international food for expat staff.
Sets up food presentation at the serving table
Supervises the kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
Directs kitchen helper in providing assistance for food preparation
Washes dishes and provides dinner cleanup as needed
Ensures the kitchen is stocked with sufficient food supplies necessary to prepare lunch and dinner.
Prepares purchase requisition of weekly supply for lunch and dinner
Strictly adheres to RMSI food preparation procedures and hygiene standards of maintaining the kitchen.
Coordinates with designated buyer for purchase of food supplies.
Perform any other related tasks assign by the manager/ supervisor and management staff.
