The chief Mechanic would normally attain the required knowledge skills and attitudes through completion of an Auto Mechanic Journeyman Certification Program combined with several years of trades administration and supervisory experience Equivalencies may be considered
Duties & Responsibilities
SUMMARY: The Chief Mechanic shall have a good knowledge of mechanical parts of the vehicles. At least 5 years of experience in automotive industries He should have a good command of both and spoken English and Farsi
Under general supervision perform master journey level work in the diagnostic overhaul adjustment repair and Preventive Maintenance of AWCC vehicles complete fabrication and repairs needed act as lead worker to other classified staff in the area and perform related work as required.
The automotive Mechanic is responsible for full range of automotive maintenance and repairs needed to keep all vehicles in good running condition Including gasoline and diesel engines. Incumbents in this classification typically inspect automotive to determine necessary corrective action perform diagnostic tests using engine analyzers.
KEY DUITES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Diagnoses repairs and overhauls engines transmissions components electrical and fuel systems etc. for various powered such as cars trucks.
Performs tune ups brake jobs and other preventative maintenance on cars trucks and other powered rolling equipment; replaces common parts and makes adjustments.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all automotive on monthly basis
Inspect vehicles for defects or required repairs
Advise the Superior/ Mechanics of required major repairs or replacement to Vehicles
Maintain safe working condition and adhere to health and safety regulations
Assist in preparing preventive maintenance schedules
Maintain inventory control over spare parts and lubricant
Maintain maintenance and repairs logs and records
Maintain maintenance computer system records
Perform other related duties
