University degree in finance or economics or equivalent in the field of finance certified by relevant higher education authority in Afghanistan or other countries.
At least 3-year full time experience in positions of accounting and finance after university graduation
Training in finance reporting and training in software
Experience preparing timely accurate and informative financial reports.
Experience in MS Office and Advanced Excel
Good command of both written & spoken English
Analytical mind detail-oriented responsible and able to meet tight deadlines
Duties & Responsibilities
The selected candidate as member of SHDP will operate as Deputy Financial Project Manager in Urozgan province under SEHATMANDI Project. S/he will report to Project director at the provincial office.
Responsible to ensure SEHATMANDI_Urozgan Project expenditures and transactions are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and are compliant with IRoA/MOF/MOPH policies and donor requirements and cost principles.
Ensure that the project’s financial management systems and controls are adequate and being followed at the provincial level.
Responsible to oversee that project expenditure is made according to the approved budgets.
Responsible for the compilation of finance information and entry into the bookkeeping/accounting software and to prepare accurate and timely quarterly financial reports.
Analyze the accounting control and process flow and formulate a constructive plan for improvement
Provide professional and timely advice on financial and accounting issues to other staff at the field office.
