Bachelor degree in Education Social Sciences or other relevant field
At least 3 years’ experience in the relevant field
Experience working in child protection and safeguarding fields.
Proven experiences in development of capacity building material.
Proven experiences in delivery of high quality training workshops to teachers community leaders parents and children.
Strong presentation communication and negotiation skills
Experience of working with local communities and stakeholders
Report writing and training skills
Proven local languages oral and written communication skills little English is plus
Proven computer skills in Word Excel and Power Point
Ability to travel within project coverage area and other provinces as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation and supervision of pre-schools and CFS (Child Friendly Space) CFS activities on field level.
The ECP officer will be working closely with pre-school teachers and CFS facilitators to ensure that UNCRC and SCI child safeguarding procedures is fully applied in these centers.
In coordination with the school management shuras and community education committee make sure that child friendly protective and inclusive environment for emergency affected boys and girls established.
In coordination with Child Protection Action Network (CPAN) establish children referral mechanism.
Identify children with learning disabilities as well as children who need psychological support and refer them to CFS and other related services.
Conduct Training Need Assessments (TNA) and develop comprehensive training plan in line with the project goal and objectives.
Participate in any child protection and other training organized by WADAN or SCI.
Map out training plans design and develop training programs
Choose appropriate training methods or activities (simulations mentoring on the job training professional development classes etc.) and incorporated in the training plan.
Deliver child protect protection safeguarding training to the teachers community elder and parents.
Evaluate the training sessions and summarize evaluation report for each training.
Maintain updated Child Rights training curriculum database and training records.
Manage and maintain training facilities and equipment.
Deliver high quality training workshops to the trainees where the project targeted beneficiaries learning and development requirement addressed effectively and efficiently.
Support the implementation of logistical coordination related to the trainings
Closely communicate with Project Coordinator regularly and provide the report on the progress of the activities
prepare a monthly reports and with supports from field team collect case studies and success stories of beneficiaries that demonstrate the impact of the project
Identify the potential trainees such as children parents Child Protection Action Network (CPAN) members governmental stakeholder and select the program participant /beneficiaries according to the set criteria.
