Command of other languages spoken in Ghazni is an advantage


Duties & Responsibilities

Be able to work actively and positively with local communities

Planning educational programs

Establishing new community initiatives

Liaising with relevant community groups and organizations

Maintaining records

Understand her/his roles and responsibilities within NAC’s education sector and how these relate to other integrated rural development sectors (e.g. health)

Be able to plan according to the NAC’s aims and objectives

Understand and be able to practice the key concepts of cooperation coordination and program integration within the NAC team

Writing plans and reports

Determining priorities

Preparing and submitting funding applications

Undertaking outreach work to encourage more people to participate

Facilitating self-help community groups

Helping individuals to control their own learning

engage with individuals and community groups such as residents associations parents groups and young people

Identify local interests and needs and ways to meet them

Help potential learners to overcome existing barriers to learning

Work with individuals to create learning plans

Formulate service plans and priorities in cooperation with other providers

Encourage and influence the development of new learning opportunities through formal and informal classes as well as individual tutoring and mentoring

Agree to and practice NAC’s ethical code of conduct and principles (e.g. gender equity and equality: by respecting women and avoiding gender discrimination; promoting women’s contribution in work in all administrative and field operations etc.)

Be humble and respectful to persons whatever their level of formal education or position in society

Be able to communicate using clear accessible language fitting the understanding of different NAC stakeholder groups (e.g. local communities TTC lectures etc.)

Be able to work within a team and also independently 

Respect in a timely manner lines of communication and reporting (e.g. to line manager) but also expect timely feedback and support

Be able to facilitate training particularly through using participatory methods

Be motivated to take on any tasks required and to seek support if necessary

Be able to accept constructive criticism/feedback and make changes accordingly

Be able to transfer knowledge and skills to others and support the capacity building of NAC stakeholders and staff

Be able to develop materials/resources and/or willing to support the development of materials/resources within a team

Update herself/himself through self-study and pursue her/his own professional development

Able to travel to the Ghazni districts whenever required
