Bachelor degree in project management or a related field
At least 3-5 years of relevant work experiences notably with education projects
Fluency in written and spoken Dari Pashto and English languages
Microsoft office packages (Word Excel) and Internet
Strong interpersonal and communication skills innovative and team worker
Familiar with planning and prioritizing tasks
Honest active and well mannered
Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of this Position:
To effectively and efficiently manage and follow up on education project in a Herat province to ensure timely completion of project activities in line with the set targets and plan.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager/Provincial Coordinator in planning and implementing of Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) Community Based Education (CBE) and Education in Emergency ( EiE) and technical components of the project;
Conduct monitoring of the project activities according the approved activities plan and schedule;
Conduct required trainings to school teachers CBE teachers including School Management Shura (SMS) Student Committee members CBCSM and provides timely support in rolling out of trainings to the beneficiaries.
Assist in the design implementation of Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) Community Based Education (CBE) and Education in Emergency (EiE) and technical components of the project.
Capacity building of Education staff in ALP CBE and EIE related topics;
Oversee and ensure that accurate data is collected for Education project according to the agreed indicators stipulated in the project logical framework;
Community mobilization: engaging the community in activities establishing Community Advisory Boards and facilitating community understanding of the overall project
Drafting initial project progress reports on a timely manner;
Proper project record keeping and filing;
Ensure proper coordination and collaboration with relevant key stakeholder’s particularly sectorial departments;
To assist the project manager during CBE ALP TLS and EIE class establishment
Ensure establishment of a close working relationship and coordination with government organizations notably DoE other organizations and community institutions and involve them in program implementation and management; and
Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
