  • Bachelor Degree from Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years’ electrical engineering experience
  • Knowledge of AC and DC power systems
  • Knowledge of Telecom power usage and related equipments
  • Fluently speaking Dari Pashto and English
  • Ability to analyze information determine relevant facts and make decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with counter-parts in outside organizations.
  • Ability to understand and resolve engineering business and other technical issues.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • MS Office Program Knowledge (Ability to prepare proper reports in MS Office programs)
  • Ability to Travel outside Kabul

Duties & Responsibilities

Our firm is currently looking for an experienced accomplished self-motivated Electrical Engineer to maintain and support our company power equipments. The ideal candidate is an inventive problem solver that is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions.


  • Install maintain modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
  • Provide high-level technical support and instruction regarding the power consumption of a site
  • Evaluates electrical systems products components and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Visit Sites and prepares sites complete reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Keeps equipment operational 7x24 at sites
  • Assist Generator mechanics and technicians to maintain the sites powered without outage.
  • Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects
  • Prevent any equipment from damage in the sites
  • Installation and commission of new telecom sites with grid power and generator
  • Provide grid power to the new sites (from submitting application to Breshna to connecting the city power to the site)
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
  • Make and install Automatic transfer switch for new sites
  • Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting the site load and replacing of old wiring and insulated cables cleaning circuits etc.
  • Provide alternative solution to reduce the operation cost of the sites
  • Design and build solar /Wind turbine power supply systems to reduce the operation costs
  • Monthly track of the sites operations costs electricity fuel and other costs.
  • Survey the sites in emergency cases and repair the site power defects.
  • Inspect and test components of electrical systems including transformers transfer switches and switch gears
  • Utilize blueprints wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
  • Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning of electrical appliances
  • Install electrical apparatus fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
  • Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches resistors circuit-breaker panels etc.)
  • Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
