Duties & Responsibilities


In close partnership and Under the supervision of the Base Coordinator the Project Officer will: • Supporting Base Coordinator in ensuring Mobile Team project is implemented smoothly. • Supporting Base Coordinator to Maintain coordination and relationship with local partners and government line departments. • Ensuring project planning monitoring and implementation process as per HI’s M&E policy. • Contribute to development of project narrative reports. • Drafting monthly and quarterly action plans for the project. • Developing payment documents for targeted beneficiaries and service providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS DESCRIPTION: To contribute to implementation of Mobile Team project activities in Herat Province: • Regular field visit to ensure that project progress is on track and risk mitigation plan is up to date and to support the technical team • Facilitate bi-monthly meetings with the Technical team to discuss on progress challenges and solutions of the activities and specific cases. • Ensure that communities are closely involved in planning implementing and monitoring project activities. • Provide support to Base Coordinator for proper selection of project partners and beneficiaries • Provide regular field reports and activities reports • Prepare Procurement Plan and Financial Forecast (monthly Base) with the support of Base Coordinator for a good planification of the project Human resources management • Manage the technical team and organize the technical team’s work plan. • Organize regular meeting with the technical team to plan the work and to discuss specific cases/challenges • Collect correct and compile the activities reports and submit it to Base Coordinator. • Maintain fruit communication between project partners and among project staff. Monitoring of field activities: • In collaboration with Base Coordinator and the Database Officer develop a well-functioning system of documentation and monitoring of Mobile Team project activities • Ensure the well-used of HI’s existing tool such as Beneficiaries Package • To plan regular field visits to ensure Mobile Team Training activities are implemented according to project plans. Report general progress and issues identified to Base Coordinator and Emergency Coordinator • To analyse monthly reports of TIQRA Course Coordinator and implementing partners and compile monthly report to Project Coordinator/Base Coordinator including highlighting of key issues. Reporting • Develop monthly activity report and submit it to Base Coordinator and Emergency Coordinator • Contribute in development of donor reports i.e. facilitating information and or any other requirements. • Develop field visit reports and submit it to Base Coordinator. • Maintain good filing the project documents. Specific tasks Upon request of the Base Coordinator or the Emergency Coordinator carry out specific tasks that can contribute to the achievement of the main objectives described in this job description.
