  • Be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • Speedy & accurate typing/data entry will be given preferences.

Duties & Responsibilities


Employable Skilled and Inclusive Workforce (ESIF) program funded by SIDA is implemented in Kabul Kandahar Parwan Helmand Nangarhar and Herat provinces. Mercy Corps is conducting labor market assessment (LMA) to identify skills with high demand in Herat province in order to provide vocational trainings to IDPs returnees and host community members. The enumerators will conduct surveys for six days in Herat City Karukh and Injil District of Herat province with local micro small and medium businesses.


  • Participate in training provided by MEL Officer/MEL Manager.

  • Conducting Labor Market Assessment data collection for Employable Skilled and Inclusive Workforce (ESIF) program in Herat districts (Herat City Karukh and Injil).

  • Collecting data and reporting to the MEL Manager and MEL officer.

  • Ensure quality of the data including timeliness accuracy integrity and reliability during collection/translation.

  • Avoid data entry errors in ONA collect (An Android based app) while entering data.

  • Sign attendance sheet on a daily basis upon arrival and at the time of leaving the office

  • Tablets should be submitted to the relevant MEL officer/Manager at the end of each day and collected back in the morning taking the tablet to home or using them for any other purpose rather than SIDA-ESIF work is strictly forbidden.

  • Consult with supervisor and do accordingly.

  • Be on time and punctual to his/her duty.

  • Be prepared to explain or clarify questions after the data collection is finished.

  • Ensure that supervisor is kept well-informed of completed assignments and progress.

  • Demonstrate high level of professionalism and ethics and respect for the respondents in compliance with MC ethical protocols for research.

  • Abide by to applicable MC policies and procedures

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the relevant supervisor in relation to your work.
