Education:university degree in relevant field
Work Experience:at least two experience with NGO and INGO in Years

University degree in Finance Accounting Economics or equivalent field preferably at post-graduate level.

Project management experience preferably in developing countries.

Fluent in English and high level of verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent and proven leadership facilitation training presentation teamwork skills and capacity building.

Significant experience working in or consulting to the development sector or significant donor funded programs.

Experience in fundraising with donors

Experience in areas of disability rights victim assistance and/or broader human rights.

Proficiency working with Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Outlook and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks/SEGA...

Procurement experience will be an added advantage.

Experience and capacity to work under pressure and in a difficult environment


Duties & Responsibilities

Managing budgets summary sheet cash book and financial documents

Have proficiency working with QUICK BOOKs.

Administer and monitor the financial system in order to ensure that the ALSO finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.

Evaluate financial reporting systems accounting and collection procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures operating systems budgets and other financial control functions.

Help and supervise the finance assistant…

Prepare monthly management accounts for the organization and individual depots including variance analysis and reports to the Director

Providing and interpreting financial information;

Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends;

Analyzing change and advising accordingly;

Formulating strategic and long-term Financial plans;

Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk;

Managing a ALSO’s financial accounting monitoring and reporting systems;

Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out;

Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors solicitors bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue;

Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines;

Follow up all types of Human Resource Management such as personnel recruitment training and development attendance sheet and human resources planning activities

He/she will be responsible for all types of activities related to administration and day to day activities related to office management

And performing any other task(s) as per request by the Director.
