Qualification:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and finance.
  • B.A. degree in Accounting Preferred
  • Nonprofit and/or NGO experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software would an advantage
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Attitude of team-player both with experts and the local staff

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provide assistance for all aspects of field office financial activities.

  • Provide assistance to Regional Finance Manager to reconcile analyze and record all transactions to quick book on daily basis.

  • Provide assistance for end of month and year closings.

  • Provide assistance to reconcile asset liability revenue and expense accounts to supporting documents and schedules on monthly basis.

  • Provide assistance in cash flow analysis - maintaining of records of cash advances received from Head Quarter and project cash accounts provide daily cash available balance of all cash accounts to management when requested.

  • Responsible for cash in safe and related records.

  • Ensure all accounting information records and supporting documents are accurate complete and in accordance with GAAP and Federal grant agreement requirements.

  • Gather and provide information prepare schedules and analysis organize supporting documents for year-end financial statements and A-133 audits.  

  • Perform special projects as assigned by management team.

  • Ensure internal control policies and procedures are properly implemented and maintained.

  • Ensure compliance with SFL’s Field Operation Manual and U.S. Government accounting

  • Provide necessary checks and balances with technical administrative logistics & procurement and management staff in compliance with the U.S. Office of Management and Budget requirements

  • Assist in the development maintenance and analysis of organizational and program budgets

  • Ongoing email and telephone correspondence relating to and impacting organizational financial operations.

  • Provide assistance to RFM to oversee and communicate with headquarters accounting staff   ensuring the followings:

  • Expenditures are recorded to the proper account and Project

  • Project(s) are within budgeted guidelines
