The finance Officer Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience and 3+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Candidate should have experience with chartered accounts, equivalent as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA or ACCA); in working in all fields of business and finance, including audit, taxation, financial and general management. Have experience in public practice work, as well in private sector and government sector. Be able to facilitate special interest groups which lead in their fields. Be able to provide support to members by offering advisory services, technical help lines and technical libraries. Also offer opportunities for professional networking and career and business development as needed.
Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations. Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice;
Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements;
Develop, implement, modify and document recordkeeping and accounting systems;
Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs for the projects;
Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts;
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;
Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals/
Report to managements regarding the finances of and establishment.
Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely.
liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out;
developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue;
