At least 5 years of proven experience at field of finance and accounting.
BBA or similar degree prefer master degree.
Strong communications skills;
Fluent English Pashto and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills
Proficient computing skills – word processing spreadsheet design and presentations
Other skills required:
Efficiency result-oriented and excellent management capabilities;
Ability of problem solving and conflict resolution;
Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner;
Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity;
Ability to travel throughout country;
Respect confidentiality of organization;
Ability to use information technology effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Finance/ Reporting Director is reportable to BARAN Executive Director. The following items are the main responsibilities of Finance/ Reporting Director:
Approving the monthly action plan of Finance Department;
Approving the monitoring plan for all projects;
Developing monthly report to Executive Director;
Ensuring/ managing the financial issues of all projects according to the budget;
Project development and/ or participating in the development process for future projects;
Conducting Performance Evaluation of finance staff according to BARAN Manual;
Collecting forecasts checking and fund transfer to bases and sub grants;
Developing BVA (Budget Variance Award) on due time (before 10th of each month);
Providing information and vouchers for auditors both internal and external;
Ensuring donor and government financial reports is delver on due times;
Preparing of fund requests of donors/ partners considering their requirements and based on approved work plan;
Coordinating with all the other departments of the entity in respect of financial matters.
Ensuring and maintaining the financial performance in high standards according to the BARAN operational manual;
Monitoring & Evaluating the financial system;
Advising Executive Director on tasks and points to be considered for the organization and projects development;
Ensuring the capacity building program of finance staff is performed efficiently;
Participating in budgetary negotiations with donors clients and partners;
Ensuring BARAN in terms of accountability and cash safety;
Development financial strategic planning for securing organization (Core Fund);
Supporting Executive Director in any financial issues;
Performing delegated activities by Executive Director.
