Qualification

Education:Bachelor’s degree
Work Experience:2-3 Years
Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related social-science field preferred. 

2 to 3 years relevant experience working with non-profit organizations (NGO)’s with international NGO experience preferred. 



Experience using basic word processing and data software (MS Word Excel etc.)

Strong technical capabilities and able to learn new computer programs.



Previous experience working as gender trainer and/or on protection projects with a strong programmatic focus on the rights of women and girls.

Good interpersonal and communication skills required with the capability and willingness to travel within provinces.



Excellent spoken and written English and Dari with Pashto an advantage


Duties & Responsibilities

Position Summary:



The Gender officer will ensure that gender is appropriately integrated into Asset Creation (Food/ CBT) projects. She/he will be responsible for establishing effective gender mainstreaming in all program design and implementation. She/he will also review program activities to ensure inclusion of gender sensitive issues. The trainers will work with the program department and M&E to ensure that gender equity principles are incorporated into all policies and activities. She/he will also plan to follow up on gender-related activities and provide support to project staff on mainstreaming gender on projects including design and implementation on gender-related issues.



Job Requirements:




  • Conduct a gender analysis in targeted districts.

  • Develop and implement a clear and comprehensive action plan for gender activities.

  • Design and implement trainings on gender related topics including gender awareness in line with gender policy of the donor.

  • Ensure gender integration in the day-to-day activities from design to implementation.

  • She/he will work with M&E Department to ensure gender indicators are fully incorporated in the project.

  • Provision of training materials to be conducted to the beneficiaries.

  • Represent SFL on gender-related events (meeting workshops conferences etc.) in Kabul urban area

  • Monitor gender progress and gaps on regular basis within the programs and proactively seek to guide and support programs in addressing gaps and challenges.

  • Perform data entry responsibilities related to registration of female beneficiaries.

  • Develop and share monthly and quarterly report on regular basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership.
