Qualification

Education:Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:Minimum 2 ’ experience in grant management Years
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent English Dari and Pashtu. 
  • Experience in translating documents from Dari/Pashto into English and vice versa
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in grant management and/or related fields
  • Experience in training/capacity development is preferred but not a necessity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong English writing skills
  • Knowledge of Excel databases

Duties & Responsibilities

The Grant Management Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the Arts Grants Manager.  He/ She is mainly responsible for the administrative and operational part of the Arts Grants Program and the individual tasks therefore include but are not limited to:




  • Intake of submitted proposals including scanning if necessary

  • Management of cultural survey database including data entry

  • Creating developing and managing database on arts grants applications

  • Assist the Arts Grants Manager in the capacity development of applicants: write detailed assessments of each proposal for the applicant to assist the applicant in revisions if necessary

  • Continuous correspondence with applicants

  • Correspondence with internal AKTC departments (finance procurement etc.) for the successful processing of the arts grants

  • Read proposals in Dari and Pashtu and write assessments/summaries of each section in English.

  • Translating documents between English Dari and Pashtu

  • Write meeting minutes of jury meetings applicant’s meeting

  • Create and develop relevant documents for administering the arts grants

  • Organizing and maintaining a reasonable filing system. 

  • Other relevant tasks
