Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible to manage/promote aspects of employee relations and ensure trust, respect and motivational climate in the workplace.
  • Monitor disciplinary issues in the workplace and provide guidance and counseling support to mangers and staff.
  • Responsible to administer pay system/compensation and benefits program through computerized system (database) and ensure professionally managed processes, calculation and documentation with high level of accuracy.
  • Responsible to administer recruitment processes and ensure full compliance with established procedures with regard to selection, hiring and documentation and ensure new staff are well/adequately inducted/briefed on the job.
  • Responsible to manage and control the work of HR assistant ensuring that quality work/services are delivered on timely manner and reporting submission deadlines are met.
  • Identify/develop training and development program for staff to ensure capacity building and development objectives are satisfied and provide guidance and counseling support to management with regard to staff development program implementation and performance management for staff
  • Ensure full compliance with all HR policies/procedures and responsible for monitoring the policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for safe custody of HR records, information and documentation and ensure high level of accuracy, completeness and reliability of information/documentation to satisfy management information and audit requirements.
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • Perform other duties assigned by Director of Operations

Job Requirements:

Qualification /Education:

Bachelor degree in relevant field or equivalent qualification from a recognized academic institution or university- Master’s degree is an advantage.

Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years work experience as HR Manager. Additional years of experience will be a plus.

Professional Training:

Job related trainings and trainings on USAID regulations are required. Additional training or skills on labor law or HR best practices will be a plus.

IT / Language Skills:

Proficiency in MS office applications including database management, fluency in English and local languages in both forms (written and verbal). Must be capable to translate HR documents from English to local language and vice-versa.

Excellent analytical skills in problem solving and conflicts associated with behavioral aspects at workplace. High level communication/presentation skills are required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Human Resource Manager will be expected to maintain and enhance ASMOs human resources management system by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. He/she is required to report to the Director of Operations.
