Work Experience:2-3 Years


High School diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

2-3 years of experience in logistics, and administration, with experience on donor-funded programs required, and previous experience on USAID-funded programs preferred.

Knowledge of procurement regulations required

Fluency in written and verbal Pashto/Dari required. English Language is preferred.

Excellent computers skills, particularly with MS- Office Package.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Logistics Assistant will report directly to the Logistics Officer. The Logistics Assistant will provide support for KFZ activities through logistics and transportation. Specific job duties will include but not be limited to the following activities:

Logistics Assistant responsible for logistics and facility management in Kandahar office.

Ensures inventory management at his/her regional office duty station is compliant with applicable USAID rules and regulations and IRD policy.

Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods

Review bills, invoices and purchase orders

Ensure all payments are processed in time

Create packing lists and update shipment information in database

Coordinate deliveries for repaired or returned items

Ensure that the warehouse has sufficient space for incoming deliveries

Ensure that all items are properly numbered and tagged

Dispose of unserviceable or damaged items

Maintain communication with warehouse staff to ensure proper working order

Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods

 Coordinate all Logistic activities with other relevant Departments and persons

Copy and scan all Logistics related documents

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
