  • Medical Doctor Or university level degree in Epidemiology Public Health Statistics or a related Social Science field is strongly encouraged

  • Ability to train and supervise staff and prioritize competing tasks

  • Knowledge of developing BCC and IEC material and working experience in the field of SBCC is essential for Trainer position

Duties & Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

The Master Trainer will be responsible for supporting RI’s health programming in Kabul Afgahnistan. RI is in the process of establishing mobile health units and expanding health coverage during COVID pandemic. Prior experience with new program start-up and/or mobile health service delivery will be highly prioritized.                                                                                               

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Master Trainer

  • Implement trainings around risk communication hygiene promotion and infection prevention control using MOPH training materials and other standard guidelines for COVID-19

  • Develop trainings for hygiene promotion topics hygiene sessions and IEC materials and train health care workers and health educators to sensitize the communities in safe ways on risk prevention

  • Lead campaigns and field visits with awareness of gender and other cross cutting issues.

  • Promote safe WASH and IPC practices including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services.

  • Work closely with the Technical Health Officers and Project Manager to achieve program objectives and targets effectively and efficiently.

  • Hold/conduct coordination meetings in the targeted community facilitate advocacy meetings and awareness raising sessions at the community level together with community health workers and community volunteers.

  • Train community health workers and volunteers

  • Ensure program targets are met using indicator / activity tracking table.

  • Actively participate in the identification and management of any disaster or epidemics.

  • Build the capacity of national staffs through proper coaching and training.
