Master degree in education, economics, business administration or other related field is required,

Minimum 3 years’ of relevant experience in M&E with USAID funded projects or other international NGOs/companies ,
Ability to evaluate the validity and quality of the data collected,
Proficiency with MS Office applications; extensive knowledge of MS Excel and Access desirable,
Excellent oral and written Dari and Pashto skill. Competency in English is required,
Ability to produce concise and accurate information, including interpreting and presenting data effectively to highlight important conclusions for the project managers,
Ability to work under pressure, meet short deadlines and ability to work independently and as part of a team,

WORKING CONDITIONS/SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

DUTY STATION: This position is located in Kabul, Afghanistan.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to project satellite offices may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: The M&E Manager will serve in a middle level management of EGR leading the M&E activities of the project, working closely with the Chief of Party and the project team to ensure adequate quality of the data is provided to client as well as relevant stakeholders.



V.          REPORTING: The M&E Manager reports to the Chief of Party.



VI.        PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



The M&E Manager will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the EGR M&E system/plan in close coordination with the Chief of Party and other technical team leads, by performing the following tasks:



Lead various M&E data verification processes in close coordination with their respective team leads/departments



Review and implement EGR established M&E plan including indicators.

Crosscheck the successful enactment of standard (F) Indicators throughout technical implementation.

Lead and coordinate the implementation of the Data Quality Assessment recommendations in coordination with the technical team leads.

Maintain standard records of the activity and project documents both in hard and soft copies.

Analyze data comprehensively and maintain a well-organized backup documentation system for EGR indicators and activities.

Track/monitor events, workshops, focused group discussions and trainings conducted/sponsored by EGR.

Develop and maintain various M&E data tracking worksheets and maintain the accuracy of the data.

Contribute to the development of various contractual reports including final report by presenting accurate and reliable data.

Update M&E online databases: Afghan info, Trai Net and EGR M&E worksheets.

Perform any other tasks as assigned by COP.



DELIVERABLES:



Submit weekly report on activities under his/her responsibility.



Develop monthly narrative summary of different databases and indicator results during the month.

Produce the result summary of entries in all EGR databases/worksheets.
