Education: Medical Diplom (MD) with previous experience of working in the Health WASH or Nutrition projects
Work Experience:At least 3 related working experience Years


§  Medical Diplom (MD) with previous experience of working in the Health WASH or Nutrition projects at least for one year

§  Familiarity with HMIS database of MoPH will be an asset




§  Good knowledge and experience of Project Management skill including basic administration and management.

§  A thorough understanding of project cycle management especially M&E processes and reporting -

§  Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly effectively and  respectfully to colleagues clients and key stakeholders -

§  Able to work independently with little supervision.

The duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to their level of skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Purpose


The overall purpose of this position is to support implementation of the UNOCHA emergency nutrition project in Shah Walikot Maywant Zerai and Khakriz districts of Kandahar funded for the ongoing drought crisis.


Key Accountabilities


Key Accountabilities


      Assist the health and nutrition coordinator in the overall implementation of UNOCHA emergency nutrition funded project

      Manage implementation of nutrition services through mobile nutrition teams in the targeted districts.

      Conduct trainings supportive supervisions to the project sites as well as static health facilities providing IMAM services in the targeted districts of this project

      Facilitate nutrition SOP trainings to the project staff and BPHS facilities staff as needed

      Collect weekly and monthly statistical reports from the field review analyse and enter them into nutrition database

      Planning and conducting regular meeting with project staff and follow up of decision made in the meeting in coordination with technical departments.

      Manage technical issues of the project and provide guidance to the implementation team.

      Ensure that regular reviews of reports are done and make sure that the performance of the project meet the Sphere standards and recommend appropriate recommendations for sub-optimal performance.




1-      Ensure personal commitment in building constructive working relationship with partners based on SCI partnership principles spelled out in Theory of Change.

2-      Coordinate with partners on issues of accountability (reporting) as per SCI and back donors requirement.

3-      Ensure any new requirement of SCI is shared with partners in coordination with partnership unit.



1.      Ensure that all projects are equipped with MEAL systems like quality benchmarks  billboards  posters to exhibit MEAL messages for activities 

2.      Ensure action plans from quality monitoring and accountability systems are generated and implemented in timely manner collaboration with MEAL team

      Report project outputs against M&E Plan 

      Ensure that data and information is available for projects at the field as per the M&E Plan
