Nurse Midwife Public health teacher diploma or significant similar experience in the field including experience in hygiene sanitation nutrition and behavioural change promotion is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
Mission 1: Screening-FU
Perform screening (MUAC to children WFH MUAC for PLW)of the nutritional status children under five and pregnant/lactating women in their designated locations
Refer selected malnourished children and pregnant/lactating women to mobile clinics
Follow referrals of all severely malnourished children to mobile team.
Coordinate and collaborate with mobile team leader and PHC in implementing follow-up from community outreach programme (follow-up of absentees and specific “at risk” children static weight)
Conduct home visits for the SAM FU needs (absents static weight..) and after evaluation if there’s a social problem giving appropriate messages Collect and track weekly data at community level including the results of MUAC screening during house-to-house visits in accordance with RI standard nutrition statistical reporting forms
Submit weekly nutrition and health report to the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Participate in the field work of the nutrition survey (impact assessment)
Mission 2: Implement mother MUAC Strategy
Train FHAG and CHW to mother MUAC strategy
Train of mothers who have U5 children on MUAC and Oedema by house to house visit.
Follow up the CHW and FHAG for referral of children detected by Mother
Small assessment after the training on the quality of the Mother MUAC
When needs doing refreshment of Mother MUACs
Mission 3: Prevention: Health Education 1000 days
Health & Nutrition Education such as IYCF Maternal Nutrition Balance Food Micronutrient Supplementation Iodine Deficiency Disorders and Malnutrition Causes Signs Symptoms and Consequences to project beneficiaries hygiene care practices
Provide education sessions to Community Shuras and/or FAHG.
Provide education sessions during the screening at HH level
Provide training on the use of oral rehydration solution (ORS) to the caretakers of dehydrated children at home.
Ensure liaison with existing community structures groups and individuals e.g Pregnant and Lactating women groups religious leaders where possible.
Mission 4: Represent AAH
The professional image of his/her AAH programme
Respect for the principles and values of AAH in the framework of the partnership
Respect AAH charter.
Develop contacts and explain to communities and to populations the activities and the objectives of the programs;
Involve and inform the communities in the implementation of the program;
Be available for any other activities according to the program needs
