  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pavement or Highway Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geotechnical engineering or related Engineering field from a well- recognized institution.
  • Holding other qualifications and certificates in the related fields will be additional advantage.


  • Minimum 10 Years of experience in the related post with reputed Organization and in the construction fields.
  • At least 5 years being in the pavement post of  Roads & Bridges construction.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervision of asphalt pavement construction under different climatic and geological conditions;

  • Monitors work on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate testing;

  • Propose cost effective and innovative to the problems in road/pavement construction.

  • Design all pavements to be used by; gathering data required for the design of pavements, conduct structural analysis, perform an economic analysis of various pavement options;

  • Carry out visual pavement inspections;

  • Provide site specific recommendations for site investigations and testing;

  • Prepare risk assessments;

  • Convert preliminary designs into detailed designs fit for implementation;

  • Responsible for the technical development of staff members in pavement related layers;

  • Review quality of work on all ongoing works;

  • Determine the deterioration of pavement and make recommendations on subsequent treatments;

  • Ensure compliance with standards and specifications for pavement design and workmanship;

  • Use specialized software for the structural design of pavement layers;

  • Assist in conducting technical audits of road projects.

  • Be well familiar with international and local codes and standard for pavement material / construction procedures.

  • Be able to handle multiple tasks in multiple projects of different construction natures.

  • Be able to work independently and under pressure.

  • To have a habit of regular reporting to the management on related task updates.

  •  Be able to make quick, firm, fair & wise decisions.

  • Be able to work outside Kabul for projects related tasks.

  • Have a thorough knowledge of available pavement material in the Local and international Markets.

  • To be well versed in written and spoken English & Dari Languages.  Knowledge of   fluent written  And spoken Pushto will be Additional advantages.
