•    Minimum one year of direct experience in a related position.

•    Knowledge and solid background livelihood projects.

•    Have qualification/background potential working relations with DoLSA DoWA DoRR and DAIL. 

•    Familiarity with the communitys cultural language traditional movement and sensitiveness.

•    Strong interpersonal intercultural and communication skills.

•    Excellent analytical and written skills and good computer skills.

•    Fluency in both local languages

•    Ability to work independently and in a team with program staff at all levels.

•    Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team and with staff at different levels;

•    Able to work independently and take initiative as well as accurately follow instructions;

•    Proven capacity to do work independently in a diverse team.

•           Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities.

The peace educator should demonstrate a strong sensitivity in dealing with disadvantaged minorities and should be characterized by personal qualities such as self-reflection resilience and communication skills.

Peace educator responsible for the cultivation of peacebuilding skills among the people through encouragement and support of the peace consultant to pass on what they have learned within the communities in the form of awareness training.

The pace educator teaches values of respect understanding love care non-violence and harmony for returnees internally displaced persons and members of host communities who will receive training on human and civil rights non-violent communication conflict resolution methods and peacebuilding.

The peace educator is responsible to define the values of peace change the attitudes of IDPs returnees and host communities and behaviors to live in harmony with oneself with others and with the natural environment.

Peace educator must be able to define the process of peace during which common values (respect love tolerance equality justice etc.) knowledge attitudes behaviors and peace-making processes are taught to individuals in order to enable the participants to solve their community problems.

Peace educators must be able to design and develop the overall training materials in a very comprehensive and understandable way to easily transmitting to communities.

Peace educators must be able to maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders including community leaders government departments NGOs community-based organizations and other entities to enhance cooperation and coordination.

Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
