High School diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred



2-3 years of experience in procurement with experience on donor-funded programs required, and previous experience on USAID-funded programs preferred.



Knowledge of procurement regulations required



Fluency in written Pashto/Dari is required. English is preferred. .



Excellent computers skills, particularly with MS- Office Package.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Procurement Assistant will report directly to the Procurement Officer. The Procurement Assistant will provide support for KFZ activities through local procurements. Specific job duties will include but not be limited to the following activities:



 



Responsible for assisting operations and program procurement in IRD-KFZ Kandahar office.



Ensures procurement and compliance at his/her regional office duty station is compliant with applicable USAID rules and regulations and IRD policy.



Coordinates with Security Manager to ensure all procurement for security, and security related vehicles and facilities is maintained.



Scan and copy procurement documents.



Checking each purchase request.



Ensures proper documentation and recordkeeping for all procurement actions;



Assist in answering incoming calls.



Correspond with vendors regarding prices, product availability, and delivery  



Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
