Prospective Projects Procurement Officer should have a Bachelor Degree in (Business Administration, Economy and any other related studies) with four years’ experience in related field. Past work experience with the donors or donor funded projects in the context of Government Line Ministries. Understanding and knowledge of donor funded projects and governmental such as Developmental Projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop an action plan on managing the procurements and logistics activities of MoMP based on tasks and responsibilities.
Manage the project procurement through implementing all policies, procedures and National Procurement Law related to procurement activities.
Undertake the project procurement activities, such as reviewing technical specifications for goods and works; researching market for procurement bid lists; reviewing Terms of Reference for consultant services; preparation of bidding documents; writing evaluation reports; training of bid evaluation committees.
Assist the development of a Project Procurement Plan and generate regular updates for the guidance of all project staff.
Develop tools for capturing procurement data and identify progress towards the achievement of procurement schedules.
Update monthly the procurement plan.
Participate in project technical committees or component team meetings in order to ensure timely implementation progress and a focus on procurement related activities;
Coordinate with the Financial Officer for regular preparation of Project Management Reports.
Undertake other procurement related duties as required by the Procurement Coordinator.
