Bachelor degree in Political Science with two years of experience in the related field.

Duties & Responsibilities

Establishing new provincial networks for the Afghans Peace Leader (APL) and the Provincial Women’s Network (PWN) in secure and less secure districts of Kabul province with traveling to Qara e Bagh and Char Asiab districts of Kabul province.

Reaching out to and liaising with local government and non-government stakeholders to ensure community-buy in and support for project activities.

Identify and select active community members with sufficient representation of youths community elders and women through a transparent process to become APL members and agents of change at the local level for peace.

Conduct training and orientations for community elders.

Facilitate implementation of project activities in according to the project action plan.

Conduct monitoring advocacy and negotiations to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Coordinate with Provincial Coordinators and Project Manager to organize provincial-level activities by providing official documents lists of stakeholders logistical support and other required support as per the project needs.

Develop monthly budgets in coordination with the Finance Unit and Provincial Coordinators for each activity based on the requirements of the projects.

Ensure the on-time completion project activities in accordance with project proposal M&E plans and result framework.

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports.

Take necessary security financial and logistical measures in coordination with the supervisor.

Collect reports and data from different provinces and districts and develop and manage a comprehensive database of project data.


Translate material and presentations from English into Dari and Pashto if required

Providing capacity building trainings in the provinces on topics such as good governance peacebuilding and community-based monitoring mechanisms

Ensure completion of pre- and post-training tests feedback forms and other training-related documents by participants

Identify needs for and provide refresher trainings for Provincial Coordinators on a regular basis

Monitor performance of the Provincial Coordinators and conduct performance reviews on a regular basis to ensure the quality of project activities and progress made

Travel to secure and less secure provinces for M&E-related activities whenever required most likely on a quarterly basis

Support development and adjustment of Network Charters for the ACTA and PWN networks based on findings from M&E and changes in the security environment
