Duties & Responsibilities

Job Purpose and Role:



The project Coordinator Integrated emergency agriculture and livelihood assistance to food insecure farming families’ project under the direct line management of the project Manager will be responsible for implementing planned project activities within the framework of approved work plans and budgets. Broadly she/he will closely work with stockholder and field staff she/he will be covering the following:



Key Responsibilities:




  • Under the direct technical supervision of project Manager you will be accomplishing the following key responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementation of the AHP projects in Samangan province.

  • Closely work with FSAC partners and shelter cluster at the provincial level

  • Networking with government departments at the provincial level

  • Managing project expenses at the provincial level.

  • Project monitoring at the provincial level.

  • Reporting to project manager

  • Project staff Capacity development

  • Capturing and disseminating lessons learnt from the project.

  • Check properly all project documents

  • Monitor distribution project inputs.

  •  

  • With the assistance of project coordinator the agriculturist will develop daily and monthly work plan.

  • He/she will conduct regularly visits to district programme site at 90 % time to field to observe and assess the performance of target beneficiaries’ and provide to them information and technical advice as required.

  • He/she will closely work with relevant project field staff and target farmers to implement the project activities and will send monthly progress report against the agreed objectives and outcomes.

  •  Monitor distribution of the wheat seed cash vegetable seed and home garden kits to the targeted beneficiaries.

  • Assist project Manager in develop a set of indicators for input/activity quality and based on the indicators and agree on a minimum standard of quality for project inputs/activities.

  • Assist project Manager and the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Manager (MEL Manager) in Kabul develop a set of monitoring indicators and monitoring formats for the project.

  • Agree with the PM on what monitoring reports will be provided by Project coordinator weekly / monthly / quarterly basis.

  • Provide project orientation to newly recruited agriculturists at the district and provincial level.

  • Build capacity of agriculturists to ensure that project inputs / activities conform to the minimum standard agreed. 

  • Prepare monthly and weekly work plans and expense forecasts based on approved budget and project plan.

  • Implement monthly work plans within the approved costs after ensuring that the quality of inputs/activities meet agreed minimum standards.

  • He/she will follow all reporting formats for project activities receive and review daily/weekly field reports and submit to project manager.

  • Ensure that agriculturists prepare file system for all project activities conducted /events organized on a regular basis.

  • He/she will develop project specific training materials information for field staff and beneficiaries case studies and project photographs as visual evidence of outputs outcome.

  • Support PM for needs based and routine communication with donors in regard to overall grant management.

  • Hold weekly monthly and quarterly review meetings with project field staff on the progress of the project and check out corrective actions if necessary.

  • He/she will review all beneficiaries beneficiaries profile survey project data base before submit to Project manager.

  • Assist project manager in all projects procurement inputs.
