Duties & Responsibilities
Schools 2030 is a new globally informed locally rooted 10-year longitudinal action research and learning improvement programme (from 2020-2030) working with 1000 pioneering pre-schools primary schools secondary schools and youth development partners across 10 countries. Schools2030 aims to find out ‘what works’ in equipping children and young people with the knowledge skills attitudes and values needed to successfully navigate uncertainty and become contributing members of society and supporting such ‘positive deviance’ strategies to improve learning outcomes.
Goal of Schools2030 is to support Afghanistan government accelerate their progress in achieving SDG4 (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all) and SDG8 (Promote sustained inclusive and sustainable economic growth full and productive employment and decent work for all).
The learning partner for Schools2030 in Afghanistan is responsible to collect process validate the data from 34 schools 100 cohorts and provide reports on positive deviace in schools2030 34 schools (100 cohorts) at the end of each academic year.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and adapt data collection tools for field teams to use throughout the year that meet the quality and reporting requirements set by Geneva.
Train and mentor field staff on using the developed/adapted tools properly.
Develop database for data collection cleaning/validating data received throughout the HCD process from schools.
Supporting teams on using of PROMISE3 application data evaluation.
Analyzing data to answer the high level questions and requirements provided by Geneva and selected through the Human-Centred Design (HCD) workshops.
Work with the AKF team to support the assessment process ensure that translations are appropriate tools are relevant to the context and adapted accordingly.
Support in contextualizing of Human-Centred Design Thinking toolkits and materials based on the assessment findings.
Document the design thinking process and the learnings from it (how teachers respond to the process how the AKF team adapts and responds to varying circumstances perspectives of other stakeholders etc.).
Document the solutions emerging from the Human-Centred Design Thinking process and how the schools are implementing the solutions.
Prepare case studies of 30 ‘positive deviance’ strategies going back to the schools to understand the reasons behind the changes from 100 cohorts in 34 schools based on analysis of the learning outcomes data in the PROMISE3 App.
Conduct periodic visits to the schools and interact with stakeholders to record their challenges using the process Human-Centred Design Thinking.
Prepare one report at the end of each year (for 10 years) on Schools2030 solutions outcomes and learnings from Afghansitan that could be shared with Global team including Schools2030 Global Secreteriate Global donor Steering Committee and National and International Showcase event.
To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects AKF’s commitment to protecting children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
