Duties & Responsibilities


YHDO is implementation countering trafficking in persons (CTIP) project with the main focus to increase capacity in Afghanistan on combating exploitation gender-based violence and human rights abuse in the country. The project interventions include community engagement rehabilitation capacity building programs and research related activities.

Job purpose:

The Project Manager under the direction of the YHDOs Executive Director will be responsible for leading the project activities to satisfy the project objectives. To support this goal the project managers decide on the design implementation approaches and results of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project’s work implementation planning evaluation cycles and reporting (monthly quarterly annually and project’s final report). 

  • Ensure that the strategic direction of the project is in accordance with the intentions of the Design Framework and donor

  • Promote collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse range of stakeholders including key ministries and non-governmental organizations

  • Manage the human and financial resources of the project.

  • Checking documentation in accordance with the organization’s procedure manual.

  • Responsibility for designing reporting and documentation tools

  • Ensure effective documentation of program and progress by capturing lessons learnt and good practices.

  • Represent the organization in relevant meetings and national forums 

  • Adhere to the organization code of conduct in professional and personal life and report breaches of the code to the appropriate persons
