Qualification:

  • University degree preferably political science law human rights and/or education

  • At least 2 years of experience working in the related field

  • Experience of working in capacity building program

  • Experience conducting trainings and on class instruction and various teaching methodologies

  • Experience working with youth and vulnerable populations

  • Good knowledge of human trafficking and human rights issues

  • Good computer skills including Internet Word Excel and use of databases

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Planning/organizational skills

  • Ability to travel to project target districts in the province

  • Excellent oral and writing skills in Pashto Dari and English language


Duties & Responsibilities

Introduction:



YHDO is implementing countering trafficking in persons (CTIP) project with the main focus to increase capacity in Afghanistan on combating exploitation gender-based violence and human rights abuse in the country. The project interventions include community engagement rehabilitation capacity building programs and research related activities.



Job Purpose:



Under the direct supervision of YHDO’s provincial coordinator the training officer will be responsible to develop training materials related to human trafficking organizing orientation workshops and conducting training for local communities and develop community engagement and capacity building program for prevention of human trafficking.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Conduct community orientation session for the target groups

  • Develop comprehensive training plan for youth committees in provinces

  • Conduct training of youth committees

  • Develop training manuals checklists and workshops evaluation tools

  • Manage performance assessments of youth

  • Update provincial coordinator on capacity building activities

  • Submit monthly narrative reports

  • Distribution and keeping record of IEC materials 

  • Adhere to the organization code of conduct in professional and personal life and report breaches of the code to the appropriate persons
