Education:Medical Doctor
Work Experience:Minimum 3 ’ experience in health related fiel Years

  • University degree in a health-related field preferred Medical Doctors

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in health related field

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation

  • Strong understanding of issues of GBV violence against women gender equality and health and at least have three years’ experience in health

  • Demonstrable experience in monitoring and evaluation as monitor

  • Good knowledge of adult learning methods and different training techniques

  • Ability to show initiative manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

  • Proven skills in effective team work

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dari/Pashto and English

  • Good computer skills especially Word PowerPoint and Excel

Duties & Responsibilities


YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009 registered with the ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative culturally appropriate evidence-based interventions. YHDO is looking for one Provincial Coordinator is for Ghazni province.

Position description:

The Provincial Coordinator will be work under the direct supervision of the project manager and close coordination of the executive director. The Provincial Coordinator will be responsible for overall coordination with relevant stakeholders especially Provincial Public Health Directorate and BHPS/EPHS implementer NGOs in the respected provinces.  He/she will be responsible for the implementation of training workshops based on project plan in the concern province on Gender Based Violence Treatment Protocol for Healthcare Providers in the targeted province and for effective training facilitation. Each Provincial Coordinator is also responsible for on-the-job mentoring and training of healthcare providers and health managers including doctors nurses and midwives in health facilities (basic health centers comprehensive health centers provincial regional and district hospitals) within his province.

General Responsibilities:

  • He /She should follow the YHDO policies rules and regulation.

  • He /she with very good and acceptable communication skills.

  • He/she will be able to coordinate YHDO planned activities with Master trainers and with project manager

  • He/she will be able to coordinate design and facilitate training workshops

  •  He or she will be able to travel to all part province

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinator is responsible to implement training workshops in the respected province based on plan

  • Coordinator will provide his monthly activity plan (training and monitoring) for each month and share with project manager.

  • Coordinator share the training plan with PPHD BPHS/EPHS implementer NGOs and WHO representative

  • Coordinator must invite healthcare providers in close coordination with project manager PPHD and NGOs

  • Coordinator will conduct regular post training follow up visit from trained healthcare providers based on project plan and provide on the job- mentoring and training for trained healthcare providers in the respected health facility and take correct actions for findings and challenges

  • Coordinator will submit his monthly activity quarterly and annual activities report to project manager on time

  • Coordinator will have regular participation in PHCC coordination committee meetings at provincial level.

  • Coordinator will have regular participation in GBV SC meeting at provincial level
