Qualification:

1. University degree in Psychology (BA in Psychology)

2. At least 3 years of relevant experience.

3. Fluency in Pashto and Dari.



4. Excellent communication skills

5. Good knowledge of computer/MS Office programs


Duties & Responsibilities

YHDO is a non-governmental organization established in 2009. Its vision is to build a socially inclusive Afghanistan where youth are empowered to exercise their rights according to the Afghan constitution in all spheres of their lives.



 



YHDO through the financial support of pro victim’s foundation implementing empowerment of GBV survivors project in Kabul to empower survivors of GBV and support them in recovering their rights and dignity.



YHDO is seeking to recruit a Psychosocial counselor for the empowerment of GBV survivors project in Kabul province.



The Psychosocial counselor under the direction of the project manager will be responsible for performing the below-mentioned responsibilities.



Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Provide psychosocial support for GBV survivors. 

  • Provide Individual psychosocial counseling sessions for clients.

  • Provide group counseling sessions for clients.

  • Provide psychoeducation and self-awareness sessions for clients.

  • Assessment of the clients psychosocial status and stressors.

  • Refer clients for further psychosocial or psychotherapy services if needed.

  • Develop and implement individual & group counselling sessions package plan as per client problem and follow up mechanisms.

  • Properly case management and case recording.

  • Maintain updated the files of the clients benefiting from psychological support

  • Keep high level of confidentiality regarding cases seen during practice

  • Conduct a regular follow up of cases registered.

  • Assist in developing IEC materials regarding psychosocial support.

  • Reporting to the Project Manager on daily/weekly basis

  • Maintaining a database of case management.

  • Stress management for staff and clients if needed.

  • Any other tasks assigned by the project manager.
